Students across the academy marked Pi Day with plenty of excitement, and a little mess, thanks to a fun and motivating challenge set by the Maths department.
To earn the chance to Pi(e) their Maths teacher, students had to submit their Sparx homework 100% complete and on time. The incentive proved a huge success, with fantastic participation from students across all year groups.
The atmosphere on the day was full of laughter and enthusiasm as hard work paid off and a few brave Maths teachers volunteered to take part in the celebrations. While there was plenty of fun involved, the event also highlighted students’ commitment to their learning and the positive impact of creative rewards.
Mr Jackson, Head of Maths, said:
“Pi Day is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate maths in a fun and memorable way. The level of effort shown by students was fantastic, and it was great to see so many taking pride in completing their homework to such a high standard.”
A big thank you to our Maths department for organising such an unforgettable Pi Day and for proving that learning maths can be both rewarding and great fun!
